  • List of Kayak Plans - I'm really excited about the free software for viewing and printing Adobe PDF files.
Adobe® Acrobat® Reader™ is software that lets you view and print Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files on all major computer platforms.  I'm now using it on the Kayak Types page.  If you don't have it, get it now!  You can view the plans and buy just the ones you need.  [30 June 2000]

  • Museum Codes - A list of museums and their abbreviations has been added to the listing of kayak types in the database, e.g., AMNH = American Museum of Natural History.   [16 June 2000]

  • Bibliography - Dana Decker informed me of an amazing URL - http://www.canadiana.org/ECO/mtq.

Early Canadiana Online (ECO) is a full text online collection of more than 3,000 books and pamphlets documenting Canadian history from the first European contact to the late 19th century. The collection is particularly strong in literature, women's history, native studies, travel and exploration, and the history of French Canada.

I am just now adding the URL to selected items in my bibliography.  This resource allows researchers to look up the page references cited.  [16 June 2000 ]

  • New kayaks added to database -  Harvey Golden has sent 27 additions to the kayak database.  Included are a number of kayaks in Scotland, England and Holland and some others documented around Clyde River, Baffin Island. Look in the database now.  [16 June 2000 ]
